Camille Count du Parc - Locmarià

The lords of Ruvina - later Rubein - were officials of the Counts of Tyrol. Also the court poet or minstrel Rubin, a successor of Walter von der Vogelweide, was a descendant of this lineage.

In 1220 their estate is firstly recorded. 1388 the Rubein dinasty dies out. The lords of Starkenberg and Rottenburg follow, then the Maretsch and 1536 the lords of Wanga are established at Rubein.

1875 it passes on to the counts Brandis, 1880 to Freiherr Franz von Reyer, who starts the first remodeling. The large restructuring in the west wing is done by the Countess von Metternich, together with her husband, Count Camille du Parc Locmarià. Since then Rubein is cared for as a private estate.

The 21 mt. Tower dates back to the 12. century, in 1455 the castle chapel is consacrated.
